We are building the foundation for responsible lending in Syria.
Meezan is the first independent credit bureau focused on Syrian individuals and businesses. Our goal is to enable reliable, data-driven risk assessments – empowering banks, merchants, and lending institutions to make better decisions.
We believe that economic development starts with trust. That’s why we build systems that make credit information transparent, secure, and responsibly accessible – always based on voluntary consent and in line with the highest data protection standards.
Founded in the spirit of Syria’s reconstruction after December 8, 2024, Meezan stands for a new approach: cooperation over isolation, insight over speculation.
We aim to help Syrian individuals build their consumption, growth – and their lives – on stable ground.
We are currently based in Germany, where we are laying the legal and technical foundations of our platform. In the near future, we will also open an official office in Damascus – to be present locally and deepen collaboration with regional partners.

What does “Meezan” mean?
“Meezan” (ميزان) is the Arabic word for balance, fairness, and justice.
It reflects our mission to bring transparency and equity into the world of credit.
Through clear data, verifiable risk assessments, and consistent standards, we create a fair balance between lenders and borrowers – just as a meezan is meant to do.
